*WE TIME PARENT SURVEY
The WeTime Parent Survey was conducted online within the United States by Harris Interactive on behalf of Memorex November 4–10, 2009, among 1,344 adults age 18+ who are the parents of children aged 0–17 years. No estimates of theoretical sampling error can be calculated; a full methodology is available. Key findings include:
- Most parents want more WeTime moments with their family, but cite a lack of time as their number one challenge (65 percent).
- One-in-four parents (27 percent) say music-inspired activities, such as sing-alongs and dance parties, are their families’ favorite “WeTime activities.”
- Among parents with children newborn through age seven, impromptu sing-alongs and dance parties are favorite activities for 40 percent of families.
- Most parents (61 percent of men and 51 percent of women) have pain points regarding the functional aspect of consumer electronics (e.g., unnecessary features, lack of durability, complicated and unappealing design).
